Based on it’s brand

Samsung is one of the biggest electronics brand out there. It even manufactures it’s own chip. It has a strong support from the Korean Government. It is a very big chaebol basd on Korea. Hence you cannot expect that a product with such a strong branding to be that poor.

 

It is extremely stylistic.

Samsung AIrcon has a very unique design. We find korean brands to dare to innovate and go beyond the traditional design. It is unique, but whether that design suits you or not, that may be extremely subjective. Anyway the purpose of the triangular design is that it can prevent the back tray from Choking. Which means that it may be harder for you to experience Aircon from leaking water from the back. An Aircon unit with a back tray choke can most likely be solved only with Chemical overhaul. So Samsung Aircon’s design to prevent this problem may be one of it’s kind in the market.

 

Samsung Service centre.

Samsung has a great service centre team based in Singapore. While it may outsource some of their customer service operation to other companies in Singapore. Nevertheless they are still rather efficient in handling customers’ complain. And also following up with customers’ after sales service. It is difficult to install Samsung Aircon

 

Samsung Aircon requires a code to activate it. That is for new inverter Aircon model. However that is extremely irritating from the perspective of an AIrcon technician. Aircon technicians generally feel that the code was set up to prevent external Aircon contractors from being able to install Samsung Aircon products. And that is extremely unnecessary.

 

It is extremely difficult to do chemical overhaul on Samsung Aircon.

 

As mentioned previously, while Samsung Aircon is designed to make back tray choke less frequent. However when you need to do chemical overhaul on Samsung Aircon. It is extremely difficult to take out and dismantle it. That is because there are a lot of unnecessary screws on Samsung Aircon. So it takes a much longer time to dismantle and do chemical overhaul on the Samsung AIrcon unit as compared to other brands. Hence most Aircon technicians may charge a premium if they know it is Samsung Aircon. For Non experienced Aircon technicians they may outright reject the job.

 

You will not find Samsung Aircon spare parts in the aftersales market

It will be extremely rare to find Samsung second hand Aircon spare parts in the market. That is because most Aircon technicians do not know how to repair Samsung Aircon. Because of the code and the hidden complexity in repairing Samsung Aircon. They do not dare try. Hence they usually scrap samsung Aircon spare parts as well. As they have no definite way of testing the product.
